Add an order bump

Create a reusable order bump (a one-click add-on offer) and attach it to a paid checkout so customers can add it to their order.

An order bump is a small add-on offer shown on the checkout page: the customer ticks it and the extra product is added to the same order. When you finish, you will have one order bump created in the workspace and attached to a paid checkout. Order bumps are available on Growth and above.

Before you start

The bump offers another paid product with an active one-time price. Create that product and its price first. The bump is a workspace-level object: create it once, attach it to as many checkouts as you like.

1

Open Order bumps and add one

In the sidebar open Offers → Order bumps (/orderbumps) and click Add order bump. The editor opens as a full page (/orderbumps/new/details) with two tabs, Offer and Appearance, and a live preview of the bump card on the right. The preview has Edit / Preview modes and desktop, tablet and mobile widths.

2

Choose what the bump sells

On the Offer tab fill in the Name (internal, visible only to you), pick the Offered product (only paid products are listed) and the Price variant (only active one-time prices without a subscription are listed). The product's own image is used as the bump image unless you upload one under Media.

3

Write the offer text and button

The Offer description and the Button text are edited directly on the preview: click the text on the card to change it. The default button text is Yes! Add to order. The description supports Markdown formatting.

4

Style the card (optional)

On the Appearance tab you can set the card's Background color, Border (style, width, color), the image position and width, and the Call to Action button (size, position, colors, arrow). Leave the defaults to inherit the checkout theme.

5

Save

Click Save changes. A confirmation says the order bump is ready to use and reminds you that it has to be added to a checkout in the checkout editor before customers can see it. You can Duplicate or Delete a bump later from the list.

6

Attach the bump to a checkout

Open the paid checkout in Offers → Checkouts (/checkouts/<id>), stay on the Basics tab and scroll to Order bumps. Click Add order bump and choose Select existing (or Create new to build one without leaving the editor). Pick the bump under Order bump, decide whether it is shown for all prices (Show for all prices) or only for some (Visible for prices) and click Add. The bump appears in the section with an Unsaved tag until you click Save changes in the header.

Good to know

A bump priced in a different currency than the selected price is not shown to the customer; the editor warns you about the mismatch. Editing a bump changes it on every checkout where it is attached. Free checkouts have no payment form, so the Order bumps section does not appear on them.

What happens next

When a customer ticks the bump and pays, the order under Transactions lists the main product with the bump product as an additional item, and the customer gets access to both.
