The product hub

A tour of the per-product editor: the header, the cover column, every tab, the preview options, and how to publish, hide or change the status of a product.

The product hub is where you edit one product end to end. You reach it by opening a product from any products list; its URL is /<type>/<productId>/<tab>, for example /courses/<productId>/content. Bookmarks in the form /products/<productId> also work and forward to the typed URL.

The header

  • Back arrow: returns to the list you came from.
  • Product name: click the text to rename it (up to 120 characters). A Saving… / Saved indicator confirms every change.
  • Status tag: shows Draft, Published or Hidden. Click it to switch status (see below).
  • View as customer (View as student or Preview as student on a course): opens the product the way a client sees it, in a new tab. The arrow next to it lists every preview target: View as customer / View as student, Product page and Checkout preview. On a community the button is Go to community instead.
  • Publish: shown while the product is not published.
  • ⋮ (more actions): Delete product.

The preview needs your platform address to be set up; otherwise the hub tells you to set your platform slug in Settings first.

The left column

  • Cover: drop or click to upload, ✨ Generate a cover, or the picture button to Pick from library. Details in Product cover image.
  • Description: click to edit the short description shown on public pages and in the library.
  • Summary chips: number of clients, checkouts, plans and automation rules. Each chip jumps to its tab.
  • Quick actions: Manage course (or the matching label for the type) opens the full content editor, Share & preview gives View product page, Open checkout and Copy checkout link for the default checkout (or a chosen one when the product has several).

The tabs

TabContents
ContentThe type's editor: modules and lessons for a course, the dashboard for a community, files for a download, the archive for a newsletter, booking and session details for a consultation, event or service. The tab is labeled Course, Community, Newsletter or Files for those types. On a bundle the tab is Bundle contents.
Add-ons & PlansAdds other products that buyers of this one also receive, or turns the product into tiers with Sell as multiple tiers. Not shown on bundles.
CheckoutsThe product's offers. Add paid checkout and Add free checkout create new ones; each row can be activated, duplicated, made the default or deleted. Prices are edited inside the checkout (/checkouts/<checkoutId>).
PagesHosted pages linked to this product: sales page, registration, thank-you page.
AccessEvery client with access, with Add client for manual grants, bulk actions and a detail page per client. Hidden for team members who may not view client data.
WorkflowsAutomations that this product triggers or that act on it.
SettingsOpens as a window over the current tab: General (language, Product type label, custom author), Product URL (the URL handle, Copy link), Visibility (Storefront visibility: Public, Unlisted or Private), Certificate on courses, and Invoice & taxes.

Clicking the tab you are already on returns you to its top level, for example from a client's detail page back to the Access list.

Publish a product

1

Click Publish

Publishing goes through a short checklist. The Publish …? window lists the product's checkouts with the default one pre-selected; tick the ones that should open for purchase right away. Checkouts you leave unticked stay inactive and can be activated later from the Checkouts tab.

2

Resolve any blockers

A paid checkout needs a connected payment gateway; the window offers Connect inline. A newsletter needs a connected mailing system, otherwise buyers would receive nothing. If your plan's published-products limit is reached, a red Published product limit reached banner appears and the Publish button stays disabled; see Product limits.

3

Confirm

Click Publish. The status tag turns to Published, a confetti animation plays and, when a buyable checkout is active, a window shows the checkout link you can share.

A product with no checkouts publishes directly, without the window.

Hide, unpublish or archive

Click the status tag and pick Draft or Hidden. Leaving Published always opens a confirmation, Change [name] to [status]?, that spells out what happens: every active checkout is deactivated (no new sales) and the product is removed from your buyers' library, so they lose access until you publish again. Republishing does not reactivate checkouts automatically; you pick them in the publish window again.

There is no Archive action in the hub. Products that were archived earlier still show the Archived status and appear under the Archived filter of the products list. To retire a product for good, use ⋮ → Delete product; see Delete a product.

Good to know

Hidden and Draft both take the product offline. Use Hidden when you plan to bring it back (a seasonal offer, a cohort between editions) so the history shows it was live before; use Draft for a product that never launched.
