Bulk actions on clients

Select clients or use the whole filtered list to grant or revoke product access, edit tags, change marketing consent, export to CSV or delete clients in one go.

A bulk action does one thing to many clients at once: give them a product, take access away, tag them, change their marketing consent, export them or delete them. You choose the clients either by ticking rows or by filtering the list.

Choose who the action applies to

1

Tick rows, or filter the list

Open Customers → All customers (/customers). To act on a few clients, tick their checkboxes (a click anywhere in the checkbox column works). The column header shows "N selected" and the right side of the toolbar changes to Cancel, Delete and Edit selected (N). To act on everyone who matches your filters, tick nothing and click Bulk actions for all N next to the total.

2

Pick the action

Both buttons open the same catalog, titled Bulk action for N selected customers or Bulk action for all N customers. The actions are grouped on the left (Products, Email marketing, SMS marketing, Data, Other, Danger zone) and each tile has a one-line description. Every action opens its own window with a Back link to the catalog; nothing changes until you confirm in that window.

What each action does

Grant access to many clients

1

Choose the products

Pick Grant product access. In Grant product access to N customers open Products and select one or more. With one product you can attach a Price (optional), which sets the access period from that price. With several products the price field is disabled: "With multiple products selected, customers get access without a price - select a single product to attach one."

2

Set the period and confirm

Without a price choose the Access period: Lifetime or Until a date. Set the Access start date, decide whether to turn on Email the client about access, and click Grant access to N customers. The grants run in the background with one progress bar per product; you can close the window and they finish on their own. The list refreshes a few times by itself.

Revoke access from many clients

1

Pick the products to take away

Pick Revoke product access. For ticked clients the window first checks their access ("Checking the access of the selected customers…") and then lists one checkbox per product they actually hold, with a client count, all pre-ticked. Untick the products that should stay. For the whole filtered list you pick the products from a dropdown instead; clients without the product are skipped.

2

Confirm

Click the red Revoke access button. For ticked clients you see "Access revoked in N products."; for the whole list the message is "Revoking access in the background - progress shows above the list." The window reminds you that "This is reversible - you can grant access again at any time. Orders and history are kept."

Subscriptions are never canceled by a bulk revoke

Access billed by a live subscription is left out and listed under Skipped - active subscription. Cancel the subscription from the product page first, see Cancel or revoke a subscription. If the selected clients have nothing to revoke, the window says "The selected customers have no revocable access." and the button stays disabled.

Subscribe to marketing emails asks Why can you email them? with four answers: Imported from another mailing list, Existing customers who consented, They asked directly and Other reason (which needs a description in Details). The reason is saved on every client and shown on their profile. Pending and unsubscribed clients become subscribed; clients who were already subscribed stay as they are. Unsubscribe from marketing emails needs no reason. The SMS actions work the same way with their own question, Why can you text them?

Good to know

Grants made in bulk count toward your plan's active-customer limit like any other access, see Client limits. Apart from revoking access, an action on the whole list covers at most the first 50,000 matching clients; above that a warning tells you it reached only part of the list. The catalog shows only the actions your role allows.
