Edit a page
Change a page by chatting with the assistant, editing text and images directly on the canvas, switching its colors or editing the HTML, and roll back with version history.
The page editor gives you four ways to change a page: tell the assistant, edit on the canvas, switch the colors, or edit the HTML. Every change to the content is kept in the version history, so you can always go back.
Open the editor
In Your site → Pages & Funnels (/sites/pages) click a page. The editor opens full screen at /sites/pages/<pageId>.
| Area | What is there |
|---|---|
| Top left | The back arrow (Pages) and the page title. Click the title to rename the page. |
| Top middle | The view switch (Preview, Visual edit, Code), the page switcher for pages that come as a set, the device switch (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile), zoom, Reload preview and Page colors. |
| Top right | Version history, Publish (or the Published status), Open live or Open preview, the copy-link icon and Save. |
| Left panel | The Assistant and Settings tabs. Signup pages add Form; webinar pages add Webinar; pages in a set add Funnel. Drag the panel edge to resize it. |
Change the page by chatting
Say what to change
On the Assistant tab type the change in Describe a change to this page…: copy, colors, sections, layout. Suggestions such as Rewrite the headline to be more compelling, Improve the copy on this page and Refresh the design - modern colors and spacing fill the box for you.
Watch the preview
The assistant edits the page and saves it; the preview updates on its own and the changed part is highlighted. You do not click Save for assistant edits.
Point at one element
To change one section only, switch to Visual edit, click the element, then write your message. The panel confirms "Your message refers to the selected element" and offers Regenerate this section, which rewrites that section and leaves the rest untouched.
Ask for a design review
After a page is generated the panel offers "Page ready. Want me to review how it looks on a large screen and on a phone?" Click Review the design and the assistant looks at screenshots of the page and proposes improvements.
Assistant edits use AI credits. The clock icon above the chat opens Conversation history for this page; the plus icon starts a New conversation.
Edit on the canvas
Switch the view to Visual edit. Click any element to select it, and type directly on the page to change text. The floating Style panel edits the selected element:
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Image → Change | Replaces the image with one from your media library. |
| Link and Open in new tab | Where a link or button leads, and whether it opens a new tab. |
| Text and Background | The text color and the background color. |
| Font size, Weight, Bold | The size and thickness of the text. |
| Align | The text alignment. |
Click Save to keep canvas edits. Leaving with unsaved changes asks first: Leave without saving or Return to editing.
Switch the colors
Page colors in the top bar swaps the page's color set without touching the text: Template colors (for pages that started from a template), My brand (the colors from your site settings) or Custom with your own Accent and Background, plus the light or dark version. Click Save afterwards. The button is not shown for pages whose HTML has fixed colors, for example a page you pasted yourself.
Edit the HTML
The Code view is a full-width HTML editor for the page. Download .html saves the current draft as a file and Upload .html replaces the page with a file from your computer. Click Save to keep the change.
Go back to an earlier version
Click Version history in the top bar. A version is saved every time the page's content changes; each entry shows the date and what happened next: Before an assistant edit, Before a manual save or Before a restore. Click Restore and confirm "Restore this version? The current version is saved to history first." Restoring never destroys a version.
Good to know
Saved changes to a published page are what visitors see, and assistant edits are saved at once. To rework a live page in private, unpublish it first or build the new version as a separate draft. If the assistant saves while you have unsaved canvas edits, you choose: Show the assistant's version or Keep my edits. Nothing is lost either way, because the assistant's version is in the history.
