Add files to a digital download
Upload the files of an e-book, template or other digital download, describe what is included, and see how clients download them from their library.
A digital download is a product that delivers files: an e-book, a template pack, presets, audio. When you finish these steps the product holds the files and a description, and every client with access can download them from their library.
Add the files
Open the product
In the left sidebar open Products → E-books and downloads (/downloads) and create a product
or open an existing one. The first tab of the product hub is Files, with the heading Files
to download.
Upload or pick files
In the Files section click the Add more files tile. The Add files window opens on the Upload new tab: drag files in or click to choose them, several at a time if you like. The Library tab lets you pick files that are already in your Media Library. Documents, images and audio files are accepted here; video is not. Click Done to close the window.
Check the file cards
Each file shows as a card with its name, type and size; images show a preview. Clicking a card opens the file in a new tab. The same file cannot be added twice.
Describe what is included
In Description write what the client receives and how to use it. The note under the heading says where it appears: Shown to customers on the download page.
Let it save, then sell it
There is no save button on this tab. Every change is stored on its own: the status at the top right shows Saving… and then Saved. To sell the download, add a checkout on the Checkouts tab and click Publish; see Create a checkout. Digital downloads accept one-time prices only; see Plans and prices.
Remove a file
Click the bin icon on the file's card. The file leaves the product, but it stays in your Media Library, so you can use it elsewhere or add it back later.
What the client sees
In their library the client opens the product and sees the Files section: your description, then the list of files. Clicking a file downloads it, and the Download all button fetches every file at once. While the product has no files, the section reads No files are available yet.
Good to know
Files you upload here also land in your Media Library, where each one shows that it is used by this product. You can add or replace files after people have bought the product: clients always see the current list.
