Set up a consultation

Connect your scheduling link to a consultation product, set the session length and the confirmation message, and see how clients book after they pay.

A consultation is a product for 1:1 calls or coaching: the client pays in Zanfia and then books a time. When you finish these steps, every buyer gets a booking button that leads to the scheduling tool you already use.

Coming soon

The built-in Zanfia calendar (your weekly hours, booking rules, a time picker in the client's library and booking emails) is marked Coming soon in the editor and cannot be selected yet. This article covers the option that is available today: External scheduling link.

Set up the consultation

1

Open the consultation

In the left sidebar open Products → Consultations (/consultations) and create a consultation or open an existing one. The editor is directly on the product's Content tab: How clients book, Session details, Confirmation message, After purchase and the What your client sees preview, with the save status and a Save button at the top right.

2

Paste your scheduling link

Under How clients book keep External scheduling link selected and paste the address of your booking page. An incomplete address shows Enter a full link, starting with https://. Links to Calendly, Cal.com, Zencal and TidyCal get a green badge with the tool's name; any other full link works too. Test opens the link in a new tab.

3

Set the session length

In Session details pick the Duration: 30 min, 45 min, 60 min, 90 min or Custom (5 to 480 minutes). With an external link there is no location field: the editor notes that Meeting location and invites are managed by your scheduling tool.

4

Write the confirmation message

In Confirmation message write a short note for the buyer (up to 500 characters), for example what to prepare before the call. It is shown next to the booking button.

5

Decide what the thank-you page shows

Under After purchase, the switch Show the booking button on the success page decides whether the buyer can book straight after paying. It is on by default.

6

Check the preview, save and publish

The What your client sees panel shows the tile from the client's library with the session length and a Book button, and the steps Purchase, Book a time, Meet. The button stays inactive until a valid link is entered. Changes are saved automatically (Unsaved changes, then Saving… and Saved); Save stores them at once. To sell the consultation, add a checkout on the Checkouts tab and click Publish; see Create a checkout.

What the client sees after purchase

PlaceWith a link and the switch onWith the switch off, or no link saved
Thank-you pageYour confirmation message and a Book your session button that opens your scheduling page. The creator will be in touch to schedule your session.
Client's libraryThe Book your session section with the session length, your message and a Book your session button. With a link: the same section and button. Without a link: Booking opens soon - the creator will be in touch.

The switch only affects the thank-you page. In the library the booking button is shown whenever a link is saved.

The booking itself happens in your scheduling tool: it sends the calendar invite and any reminders, and the booked time is not recorded in Zanfia.

Good to know

Use the confirmation message to say what happens next, because no separate booking email goes out from Zanfia for an external link: the thank-you page and the client's library are where the booking button lives. Old links ending in /editor/... still work and open the Content tab.
