Products overview

What a product is in Zanfia, how it differs from a checkout, which product types exist, how the product hub is organized, and what the Draft, Published and Hidden statuses mean.

A product is the thing your clients get access to: a course, a community, a set of files, a newsletter, a booking, or anything else you deliver. Everything you sell in Zanfia starts as a product, and every product has its own editor, called the product hub.

A product is not a checkout

Zanfia separates what you deliver from how you sell it:

ConceptWhat it isWhere you edit it
ProductThe content and the access: lessons, channels, files, issues, booking rules. The product hub (/courses/<productId> and similar)
CheckoutAn offer for that product: a public page with one or more prices, a payment form and its own link. Also called an offer. The Checkouts tab of the product, or Offers → Checkouts (/checkouts)
PriceOne way to pay inside a checkout: one-time, subscription, recurring payment or installments, in a chosen currency. The checkout editor (/checkouts/<checkoutId>)

One product can have several checkouts (for example a public one and a private one for a partner), and one checkout can hold several prices. A checkout with no prices is a free checkout: clients sign up without paying. See Plans and prices.

Product types

When you create a product you pick its type. The type decides what the first tab of the product hub edits: a course gets modules and lessons, a community gets channels, a digital download gets files, and so on. The full list with what each type contains is in Product types.

Bundles are a special case: a bundle has no content of its own and only grants access to other products. Bundles live under Offers → Bundles (/bundles), not in the products list.

Where products live

In the left sidebar, the Products group lists your products by type: All products (/products), Courses (/courses), Communities (/communities), Knowledge bases (/knowledge-bases), Newsletters (/newsletters), E-books and downloads (/downloads), Events (/events), Consultations (/consultations), Services (/services) and Custom (/custom-products).

Each list has a search box, a price filter (Paid / Free) and a status filter (All, Draft, Published, Hidden, Archived). The Create product button opens the type picker; on a typed list it creates that type directly.

The product hub

Opening a product takes you to its hub. The header holds the editable name, the status tag, the preview button and the Publish button. The left column holds the cover image, the description, summary chips (clients, checkouts, plans, rules) and quick actions. The tabs are:

TabWhat it does
Content (labeled Course, Community, Newsletter or Files for those types)Edits what the client receives.
Add-ons & PlansBundles other products into this one, or splits it into tiers such as Basic and Pro.
CheckoutsThe product's offers and their prices.
PagesHosted pages linked to this product (sales page, registration, thank-you page).
AccessEvery client who has access, with manual grants and changes.
WorkflowsAutomations triggered by this product.
SettingsLanguage, type label, author, product URL, storefront visibility, certificates, invoicing.

The full tour is in The product hub.

Lifecycle statuses

StatusMeaning
DraftWork in progress. Clients never see it and no checkout can be active. New products start here.
PublishedLive. Visible in your clients' library, purchasable through any active checkout, and eligible for your storefront.
HiddenPaused. All checkouts stop selling and current buyers lose access to the product until you publish it again. Checkouts do not reactivate on their own when you republish.
ArchivedRetired. Behaves like Hidden but is meant to stay that way; the products list hides archived products unless you filter for them. There is no archive action in the hub any more; use Delete instead.

You change status with the status tag in the hub header (Draft, Published, Hidden). Leaving Published always asks for confirmation and lists what happens (checkouts deactivated, buyers lose access). Deleting is a separate, guarded action: see Delete a product.

Plan limits

Your subscription plan limits how many products can be Published at the same time. Drafts and hidden products do not count, so you can prepare as many products as you like. The numbers per plan and what happens at the limit are in Product limits.
