Collect testimonials

Create a collection form, share its link, receive written and video testimonials from customers, approve or hide them, and add testimonials you already have by hand.

Testimonials are collected through a public form on your own site and wait for your approval before anyone else sees them. When you finish, you will have a collection form with a shareable link, know how a customer fills it in, and have your first approved testimonials.

Plan

Testimonials are available on Growth and above.

Create a collection form

1

Open Testimonials

In the sidebar open Marketing → Testimonials (/marketing/testimonials). The page has two views at the top: Testimonials and Collection forms. Switch to Collection forms and click New collection form. A full page opens with the header You are creating / Collection form.

2

Describe the form

Type a Name and choose a Product: submissions are tagged with this product and appear on its wall. Leave the product empty for a general form. Optionally set a Headline and Guided questions (one question per line; the first is shown as the main prompt) and a Thank-you message.

3

Choose what the form asks for

Three switches decide the fields: Ask for a star rating, Ask what the customer does and Allow video testimonials. Click Create form →; the button confirms with Done! and you return to the list, where the form shows its address, for example /testimonial/course-feedback. A new form is active at once; Edit on its row opens the same page with an extra Active switch.

4

Share the link

On the form's row, the link icon (Copy share link) copies the full address and the arrow icon (Open form in a new tab) opens it. Send the link to your customers in any way you like. For a form tied to a product, Email your buyers creates a draft e-mail campaign to that product's buyers with the form link already in the message. Nothing is sent until you review and send the draft in the campaign editor.

Good to know

Clients also find the form on their own: a product with an active form shows a Leave a review button in the client area. A form switched to inactive rejects new submissions and its link shows a 404 page. Deleting a form stops the link; testimonials it already collected stay.

What the customer sees

The form opens on your site with your logo, the headline, the star rating and two tabs: ✍️ Write it and 🎥 Record a video. The customer fills in Your name, optionally What do you do?, Email (never shown publicly) and Your photo, and must tick the consent: "I allow [your name] to share my testimonial, name and photo publicly on their pages and marketing materials." Send my testimonial stays inactive until the text (or video), the name and the consent are in place.

For a video, the customer clicks Enable camera, then Start recording, and can record up to 2 minutes; Start over discards the take. If camera access is denied, Or upload a video file still works. After sending they see Thank you! with the note that the testimonial will appear once it is approved.

Approve, hide and feature

Every submission arrives in the Testimonials view as Pending and you receive the e-mail "⭐ New testimonial from [author] - waiting for your approval". Video submissions carry a Video tag, and each card shows the product it belongs to.

ActionWhat it does
ApproveMakes the testimonial public ("Testimonial approved - it is now public"). Status: Approved.
HideTakes it off every public surface. Status: Hidden. You can approve it again later.
Feature on wallsMarks it with a star so it is shown first on walls.
EditOpens Edit testimonial: text, rating, author, photo, products and tags.
DeletePermanently removes the testimonial from all walls and embeds.

The filter row narrows the list to All, Pending, Approved or Hidden, by product, and sorts it by date, name or rating. Pending and hidden testimonials are never shown publicly.

Add a testimonial by hand

1

Open the add page

In the Testimonials view click Add testimonial (/marketing/testimonials/add). Under Source choose Written by hand or Imported from another platform; the second option adds an Imported from field for the place it came from.

2

Fill in the testimonial

Type the Testimonial (up to 2000 characters), set the Rating, the Author name and, optionally, the Author role and Author photo. Select the Products it is about. You can link it to a Connected client and add Tags; buyers see tags as filter chips on the wall of love.

3

Save

Click Add testimonial →. The testimonial is Approved right away: testimonials you add yourself do not wait for approval.

What to do with approved testimonials is covered in Show testimonials on your pages.
