Grant access manually
Give a client access to a product without a purchase, choose lifetime or a fixed end date, decide what they are offered when access ends, and change an existing access.
You can add a client to a product by hand, with no order and no payment: for a sponsored seat, a refund replaced by access, a beta tester, or a client who paid outside Zanfia. The access can be lifetime or end on a date, and you can decide what the client is offered when it ends.
Open the product's Access tab
Open the product from any products list and switch to the Access tab (/<type>/<productId>/clients). The list shows every client with access. Click Add client at the top.
Fill in the client
The Add client window asks for Email (required), Name, Phone (optional) and Access start date. An email that already has a Zanfia login is fine: the existing account is reused. Leave Email the client about account creation ticked if they should receive their login details.
Choose lifetime or an end date
Leave Price (optional) on No price - grant access only and pick the Access period: Lifetime or Until a date. With Until a date, an Access ends on date field appears together with a collapsed section Advanced: when access ends. Lifetime access has no such section because it never ends.
Decide what happens when access ends (optional)
Expand Advanced: when access ends. The dropdown When the access period ends offers End access (default), Offer a chosen renewal price and Offer the current prices of this product. With a chosen renewal price you also pick the Renewal price (from the product's checkouts) and How long the follow-up offer stays open: No limit, Only while the customer is active, For N days after access ends or Until a specific date. Leaving the renewal price empty blocks the form with "Complete the end-of-access options."
Or attach a price instead
If you pick a price under Price (optional), the note "The access period is inherited from the selected price." replaces the manual period, and the advanced dropdown defaults to Inherited from the selected price (default), with End access and Offer the same purchase price for renewal as alternatives. A lifetime price shows no advanced section at all. On a product sold in tiers, a Plan (optional) field lets you choose the tier; left empty, it follows the price or the default plan.
Save
Click Add client. You see Client added. and the client appears in the Access list. If your plan's active-client limit is reached, the grant is refused with "You've reached your plan's active client limit."
Grant access from the client's page
The same grant is available from Customers (/customers): open the client and choose Grant access from the Actions menu, or click the Access quick action in the header. When the client has no access yet, the empty Access panel shows a Grant access button too. The Grant product access window shows Granting access for with the client's email, a Products picker that omits products they already own, the optional price, the Access period choice and the same Advanced: when access ends section. You can select several products at once; then the access is granted without a price. Saving shows Access granted. and the products appear in the client's list right away.
Change an existing access
In the client's Access list open the row menu (⋮) of an active grant and choose Change access. The window explains that the current access is archived and a new one is issued with the picked configuration, and that orders and history are kept. Choose Lifetime, Until a date or Based on a price; the advanced section follows the same rules as above. If the access is billed by a live subscription, the change requires canceling that subscription as part of it. Confirming shows Access changed.
Good to know
Manual grants count toward your plan's active-client limit exactly like purchases. A client added to a tiered product with a plan that includes a community is added to that community immediately, before they ever log in. When a limited access with a renewal offer is about to end, the client receives the reminder emails "Your access will expire in 14 days" and "Your access will expire tomorrow" with the renewal link; a grant left on End access (default) sends no reminder.
