The client profile
What the client profile shows: contact data, marketing consent, tags, access, transactions, activity, notes, personal emails and devices, and the actions available from it.
The client profile gathers everything you know about one person: who they are, what they bought, what they can access, what you sent them and what your team noted about them. Open it by clicking a row in Customers → All customers; its address is /customers/<clientId>.
Layout of the page
| Area | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Top bar | The Customers back link, the Message button, the Actions menu and a three-dot menu with Merge customers and Delete customer |
| Left column | Name and email, the quick actions Message, Access and Testimonial, then Source, Invoice data, Community profile, Last order, Linked channels and Notes |
| Tiles | Total Spent (lifetime customer value), Orders (with the date of the last one), Access (products and communities) and Emails (deliverability of the emails sent to this client) |
| Tabs | Profile, Access, Transactions, Activity, Notes, Emails, Devices |
The left column stays visible while you move between tabs. Sections appear only when there is something to show: Source needs tracking data (such as UTM parameters) captured with the client's first order, Community profile needs a community membership, Linked channels needs an Instagram, WhatsApp or Telegram conversation linked to this client.
What each tab shows
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Profile | Contact (email, previous addresses, first name, last name, phone, language), Marketing consent for email and SMS, Details (Customer since, Last Updated) and Tags. This is the tab the profile opens on. |
| Access | Every product access and community membership with type, access data, start date and status (Active or Revoked). An empty list offers Grant access. |
| Transactions | The client's orders with date, description, amount and status. Clicking a row shows the order details. |
| Activity | A timeline with the filters All, Orders, Emails, Logins, Access, Forms, Briefs and Discord. |
| Notes | All internal notes, newest first. |
| Emails | Personal emails written to this client, drafts and sent, with a New email button. The number on the tab counts drafts. |
| Devices | The client's active devices with Last active and Active until, plus Remove and Remove all. A removed device loses access to your platform within seconds. |
A tab can be linked directly with ?tab=, for example /customers/<clientId>?tab=transactions.
Edit contact data and consent
On the Profile tab the first name, last name, phone and language are edited in place: click the value, change it and confirm. Language decides the language of system emails (access links, receipts) and campaigns sent to this client; when it is Not set, the language of your platform is used. The email address has a pencil that opens Change email, described in Change a client's email address.
Under Marketing consent each channel shows a status chip with a menu: Mark as subscribed or Mark as unsubscribed. Below the chip you see where the status came from (Signup form, Import, Purchase, Set manually, Unsubscribe link, Spam complaint, Automation) and the consent basis if one was recorded. Pending confirmation appears only while a double opt-in is waiting for the client and cannot be set by hand. A client with no status reads "Never captured (purchase-only or pre-campaigns customer)".
Under Tags click the plus to pick a tag; typing a new name creates the tag on the spot. Removing a chip removes the tag from this client only.
Manage access
To give the client a product, use Actions → Grant access or the Access quick action in the left column. Rows on the Access tab open the access details when clicked. The three-dot menu of an active product row offers Details, Edit access period, Change access, Revoke access and Revoke with refund…. Actions → Revoke access at the top of the page lists all revocable products at once, with All products to tick everything; products billed by a live subscription are listed there under Skipped - active subscription and have to be ended from the row menu or the product page, where the subscription is canceled together with the access. Granting and changing access is described in Grant access manually, and ending paid access in Cancel or revoke a subscription.
Community rows show the client's role and, where it applies, the product the membership came from; their menu has Open members list.
Notes
Notes are for your team: "Only your team sees these notes." The client never sees them. Click Add in the Notes section of the left column or on the Notes tab, write up to 5,000 characters and click Save note. Every note shows its date and, for notes written by teammates, the author; any note can be edited or removed. The left column shows the five most recent notes and links to the tab for the rest.
Invoice data
Invoice data in the left column holds the client's default billing details. Add invoice data or Edit invoice data opens the form; with active subscriptions you can tick Apply these invoice details to all active subscriptions. When a subscription uses different details than the default, a warning lists those subscriptions so you can edit them one by one. How invoices are issued is covered in Invoices.
Actions from the profile
| Where | Action |
|---|---|
| Message | In-app message opens the conversation in the inbox; E-mail opens the personal email composer. See The inbox. |
| Actions | Edit profile, Change email, Grant access, Revoke access, Request testimonial |
| Three-dot menu | Merge customers, Delete customer. See Merge or delete a client. |
Good to know
When emails to the client bounce, were reported as spam or the address is blocked, a banner at the top of the profile says so ("Emails to this customer are bouncing") and offers Fix email address and Resend access email. The Access tile counts active products and community memberships together, so it can be higher than the Access column of the client list.
