Track a website outside Zanfia
Paste one tracking snippet into your own website so its visits appear in Analytics and purchases made through your checkouts are credited to the page and its traffic source.
If you sell from your own website (a sales page on WordPress, a blog, a link-in-bio page) and only the checkout is on Zanfia, the tracking snippet connects the two. When you finish, visits to your page will appear in Analytics → Traffic & conversions, and purchases will be credited to the page and the traffic source that brought the buyer.
Copy the snippet
Open Integrations → Website tracking (/integrations/website-tracking). The section Track
your own website shows a one-line code that starts with <script and contains your workspace
id. Click Copy snippet.
Paste it into your website
Paste the snippet before the closing </body> tag on every page you want to track. It works
with plain HTML sites, WordPress, Webflow, Framer and single-page apps. The snippet adds nothing
visible to the page: no banner, no widget.
Link to your checkout as usual
Keep your Buy links and checkout embeds the way they are. When a visitor opens your checkout from a tracked page, through a link or an embed, the snippet passes the visit along, so the checkout knows which page and which source it came from.
Check the first visit
Open your page in a browser, then go to Analytics → Traffic & conversions and switch to
Traffic (/analytics/traffic?view=traffic). Click Refresh. Data appears within a minute
of the first visit: Traffic by page lists your page with the tag External (the address is
a link to the page), and Traffic over time shows the visit.
Read the purchases
After a purchase that started on the tracked page, the Purchases column shows it both on the page's row in Traffic by page and on the source's row in Traffic by source. In the Conversions view the first funnel bar, Checkout opened, counts that session under from your pages instead of direct link.
Good to know
Each page reports under its own address. A visit with campaign parameters in the link, for example
?utm_source=facebook, is reported under that source; a visit without any is counted as
Direct. Buying straight from a checkout link keeps working whether or not the snippet is
installed: such sessions are counted under direct link.
What the snippet does not do
- It does not replace the pixels of ad platforms. To send purchases to Meta, Google Analytics, TikTok and others, connect them as described in Connect tracking pixels and analytics tools.
- It is not needed on pages built in Zanfia. Your storefront, product pages, custom pages and sales pages are tracked automatically.
- Traffic & conversions is part of Pro and above (and the free trial). On other plans the snippet can be installed, but the view that shows its data is locked.
