Team members and roles

Invite people to your workspace, pick the right role for each of them, change roles, remove members, and hand the workspace over to a new owner.

A workspace can be run by more than one person. Each member signs in with their own email and gets a role that decides what they can see and change. When you finish this article you will have invited a teammate and know how to manage the team afterwards.

Plan

Team accounts are available on Growth and above; the number of people depends on the plan and is shown on the plan cards and the pricing page.

The five roles

RoleWhat the app says about it
Owner"Full access to everything, including billing and deleting the workspace."
Admin"Full access, except deleting the workspace, managing billing, and transferring ownership."
Editor"Creates and edits products, content, campaigns, and discounts. Sees orders, clients, and reports, but can't manage members, billing, or integrations."
Content Creator"Works with products, content, and automations. No access to orders, clients, revenue, or billing."
Viewer"Read-only access to the workspace, including orders, clients, and reports."

Every workspace has exactly one Owner. The full permission table is on the team page under What each role can do: one row per Area and Action, one column per role, with a check mark where the role is allowed.

Invite a member

1

Open the team page

Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner and choose Manage team, or open Settings → Members (/settings/members). You see the Team members list with a role tag next to each person and (you) next to your own name.

2

Fill in the invitation

Click Invite member. In the Invite a teammate window enter Name and Email and pick a Role: Admin, Editor, Content Creator or Viewer. Under the role field a box describes the selected role and lists This role can: grouped by area; the list changes when you switch the role.

3

Send it

Click Send invitation. You see Invitation sent. and the address appears under Pending invitations with its role, Last sent and Expires. An invitation is valid for 7 days. If the address already has an open invitation, you see "This email already has a pending invitation. We've shown it below." instead.

4

The teammate accepts

The person receives the email "[your name] invited you to [workspace] on Zanfia". The link opens a Join [workspace] page where they click Accept invitation, after signing in or creating an account with the invited address. They land in your workspace and receive "Welcome to [workspace] on Zanfia". Someone who already has a Zanfia account also sees the invitation in their profile menu, in the workspace list under Pending invitations.

Manage invitations and members

ActionWhereWhat happens
ResendPending invitationsSends the email again with a fresh link and a new expiry date. You see Invitation resent.
RevokePending invitationsAfter you confirm Revoke invitation?, the previous link stops working.
Change roleThe three-dot menu in a member's rowPick the new role in the Change member role window and confirm. You see Role updated.
Remove from workspaceThe three-dot menu in a member's rowAfter you confirm Remove member?, the person loses access to this workspace. Their own account and other workspaces stay.
Leave workspaceThe three-dot menu in your own row (not for the Owner)After you confirm Leave this workspace? you lose access immediately.
Make ownerThe three-dot menu in an Admin's row, visible to the OwnerSee below.

Inviting, changing roles and removing members is available to the Owner and Admins. Other roles see the team list only: no Invite member button, no Pending invitations, no What each role can do section. Nobody can change or remove the Owner from the list.

Transfer ownership

Only the Owner can hand the workspace over, and only to a member who is already an Admin. Open the three-dot menu in that Admin's row and choose Make owner. The Transfer ownership window explains: "[name] will become the workspace Owner. You will become an Admin. This cannot be undone unilaterally." Type the new owner's email address to confirm and click Transfer ownership. After Ownership transferred. the roles are swapped, and only the new Owner can give the workspace back.

Good to know

An invitation is tied to the email address it was sent to. A person signed in with a different address sees a message naming both addresses and has to sign out and use the invited one, or ask you to resend the invitation to the address they use. How many people a plan includes is shown on the plan cards in the plan picker and on the pricing page. The Owner and Admins can also see the sign-ins of the whole team; see Two-factor authentication and login activity.
