Add a one-time offer after purchase
Show one extra offer right after a payment or a free signup, add a downsell and a second offer, set a countdown and choose between the built-in screen and your own offer page.
A one-time offer (OTO) is one extra offer the buyer sees right after paying, before the thank-you page. They accept it with a single click or decline it and move on. When you finish, one of your checkouts will show an offer after purchase, optionally followed by a downsell or a second offer.
Plan
One-time offers are included in every current plan and during the free trial. On an older plan without them the One-time offer panel shows an upgrade prompt.
Before you start
The offer sells another product, so that product needs a one-time price on its default checkout. The panel lists only those prices. A dedicated, lower price created there for the offer keeps your regular price untouched. The product sold by the checkout you are editing cannot be offered to its own buyers.
Set up the offer
Open the After purchase view
Open the checkout in Offers → Checkouts (/checkouts/<id>) and switch the view at the top
from Editor to After purchase (/checkouts/<id>/after-purchase). Click the One-time
offer step. While it is off, the step reads "Off - buyers go straight to the thank-you page
after paying."
Turn it on and pick the product
Switch on Show a one-time offer after purchase (on a free checkout the switch is Show a one-time offer after signup). Choose the Product to offer and the Price to charge.
Write the offer
Fill in the Headline and the Offer text (Markdown is supported; keep it to one screen and one decision). The Accept button defaults to "Yes, add it to my order" and the Decline link to "No thanks, take me to my order"; change either if you like.
Add a countdown (optional)
Countdown (minutes) accepts 1 to 120 minutes. When it runs out the offer disappears for good; the limit is enforced on the server, not just shown on the page.
Choose where the offer is shown (optional)
Offer page is set to Built-in offer screen by default. To present the offer on your own design, pick a one-time-offer page created in Pages & Funnels. The price, the timer and the one-click yes and no still come from this panel. The page must be published; a page marked draft is not shown to buyers and the built-in screen is used instead.
Chain a downsell or a second offer (optional)
If they decline: show a downsell adds a cheaper alternative shown after a "no". If they accept: show a second offer adds one more offer shown after a "yes". Each has its own product, price and texts. All offers in the chain must use the same currency.
Save
The right side shows a live preview of what the buyer sees. Click Save to publish the offer. The step in the map now lists Offer, On decline and On accept.
Good to know
The offer is shown once. A buyer who declines it, or lets the countdown run out, does not get it again.
How the buyer pays
| How the first order was paid | What "yes" does |
|---|---|
| Card through Stripe | Charges the saved card at once, with no card re-entry. Each accepted offer becomes its own order. |
| Another gateway, BLIK, or a free signup | Adds the offer to a short cart. After the last offer the buyer pays for everything they accepted with a single payment. |
After the chain ends the buyer reaches the thank-you page, and access to every accepted product is granted like for any other purchase.
One-time offers in a funnel
A funnel can also place a one-time offer right after a signup page: on the funnel canvas click Add step → One-time offer, pick the product and checkout, and choose the layout (Digital product or Physical product (free + shipping)). The visitor signs up, sees the offer and pays on the same page; "no thanks" leads to the step that used to follow. That offer runs a 30-minute timer per visitor. See Build a funnel from a template.
Where the results are
The checkout's Analytics view, Funnel tab, shows how many times one-time offers were shown, how many were accepted and the accept rate. Accepted offers appear in Transactions (/orders).
