A course is a product of the type Course. It holds modules, and each module holds lessons: video, audio, text or a quiz. You build it in the course editor, sell it through a checkout like any other product, and your clients watch it in the client area on your own site.

Creating the product, its checkouts and prices is covered in Products. This category covers everything inside the course.

How a course is organized

LevelWhat it isWhat you can set

The Course tab of the hub

Opening a course lands on its Course tab. Two tiles are always there: Course content opens the course editor and shows the number of modules, lessons and draft lessons, and Analytics opens the full report.

While the course is a draft, the tab shows Get ready to launch: Add your course content, Create a checkout, Publish your course and Share your checkout link. Skip setup and show the normal view hides the checklist; Show the launch checklist brings it back.

Once the course is published, the tab shows:

  • Needs attention: draft lessons your students cannot see, the lesson where most students stop, a quiz most students fail, failed renewals and past-due subscriptions. Each row links to the place where you fix it.
  • Pulse · last 30 days: Revenue, New students, Completion rate and Active this week.
  • Continue: the lesson you edited last, with Continue editing.
  • Assistant suggestions and Activity: nudges you can hand to the assistant, and a feed of enrollments, renewals and completions.

What your plan affects

Course features in the editor are not locked behind a specific plan. Your plan does set how many products can be published at once (see Product limits), how much storage your uploads can use, and how many AI credits and transcription minutes you have each month. AI tools in the course editor and the "Ask the course" tutor use AI credits; transcribing videos uses transcription minutes. See AI credits and Buy AI credits, transcription minutes and storage for credits, minutes and add-ons.

Coming soon

Studio, the video editor that cuts Reels out of your recordings, is not available to all accounts yet. Until it launches, the Studio entry in the sidebar and the Reel buttons on a transcript page are marked as coming soon.
