Site address and main page
Change the address of your site, choose what visitors see at its root (storefront, custom page, user dashboard or community), and set the site language, name and logo.
Your site has one address. Your storefront, pages and checkouts all live on it, and your clients sign in there. This article shows how to change the address, decide what opens at its root, and set the basics that appear across the site.
Where the settings are
In the sidebar choose Your site → Settings (/site). The Site & brand screen opens on the General Settings tab (/site/general). The switch next to the title moves between Site settings and Brand & theme, and Open your site opens the public site in a new tab.
| Tab (Site settings) | Route | What is there |
|---|---|---|
| General Settings | /site/general | Your site address, Main page, Page basics. |
| Name & logo | /site/identity | Name & description, Logo & favicon. |
| Emails | /site/emails | The e-mails your site sends to clients. |
| Domains | /site/address | Your custom domain and the e-mail sending domain. |
| Privacy & legal | /site/privacy | Legal documents, cookie consent, checkout consents. |
| Customer access | /site/access | Account sharing protection: how many devices a client can use at once (how to set it). |
Change your site address
Your account gets a site address when it is created, so links work from the first day. Change it before you share links widely.
Open the address window
Under Your site address click Edit next to the address. The window Change your site address? opens.
Type the new name
In Your site domain type the first part of the address; the Zanfia domain after it stays fixed. Underscores are not allowed ("The site address cannot contain underscores."), and dots and slashes are removed.
Read the warning and save
Once you change the field, a warning appears: changing the address "updates every link to your site - pages, checkouts and any links you shared before will stop working on the old address." Click Save. If the name is in use you get "Site address in Zanfia domain is taken. Change it and try again."
Next to the address, the copy icon copies the link and the arrow icon opens the site. When your site runs on a custom domain, the Zanfia address is listed below it as Built-in address, and the pencil next to that line opens the same window. The note under the section tells you which address your site runs on and links to the Domains tab; see Connect a custom domain.
Choose the main page
The Main page section decides what visitors see when they open your site address with nothing after it. Pick a card and click Save.
| Card | What visitors get |
|---|---|
| Storefront | Your products and offers on a public store page. This is the starting choice. |
| Custom page | A page you built in the page editor, shown at your site root. Pick it under Page (Choose a published page). The card is disabled until you have a published page. |
| User dashboard | Clients land in their content library; visitors who are not logged in see the login page. |
| Community | Visitors land directly in the community you pick under Community. A Public community is visible to anyone; a Private one shows the login page. Disabled until you have a community. |
A custom page can also be set as the main page from two other places, and all three change the same setting:
| Place | How |
|---|---|
Pages & Funnels (/sites/pages) | The page's ⋯ menu → Set as main page. Use product storefront reverts it. |
Storefront (/sites/storefront) | Switch the panel to Custom page, turn on Use a custom page, pick the page, Save. |
Good to know
Only a published page can be the main page. If that page is later unpublished or deleted, the root of your site shows the product storefront again. With User dashboard or Community selected, the storefront builder shows Your storefront is turned off; you can still edit the store and switch back with Set Storefront as main page.
Set the site language
Under Page basics, Site language offers Default (depends on system settings), English and Polish. It is also the default language of the e-mails your clients receive (purchase confirmations, reminders) when a product or offer has no language of its own. Click Save.
Set the name, logo and theme
| Where | What you set |
|---|---|
| Name & logo → Name & description | Site title, Visibility of site title (hide it when your logo already contains the name) and Short description. |
| Name & logo → Logo & favicon | Site logo for Light mode and Dark mode, and the Favicon, the small icon on the browser tab. |
Brand & theme → Site theme (/site/theme) | The appearance and color scheme of your site. The other tabs of this view are Checkout theme, Colors & typography and Voice & content. |
The storefront has its own design settings on top of these: see Set up your storefront. The site title and short description are what the storefront header shows when you leave its own heading empty.
