Move from MailerLite
Use the three-step migration to bring your MailerLite contacts, groups, segments and sent campaigns into Zanfia, follow the progress in Tasks, and see what has to be rebuilt by hand.
The migration reads your connected MailerLite account and copies what Zanfia can take over: contacts with their groups as tags, segments as tags, and sent campaigns. When you finish, your MailerLite subscribers are clients in Zanfia and you have a report of everything that was not moved.
You need a MailerLite account connected under Integrations → Email marketing (/integrations/email-clients). See Integrations.
Run the migration
Open Migration
Go to Integrations → Email marketing, open the MailerLite card with Manage and click Migration on the connected account. The same window opens from Marketing → Email campaigns: the cog next to New campaign → Import from your mailing system. The window Move your data from MailerLite has three steps: Overview, Selection and Run.
Overview: see what the account holds
After "Reading your MailerLite account…" a table lists Contacts (with the split "N active · N unsubscribed · N bounced"), Groups / lists, Segments, Sent campaigns, Automations, Forms and Templates. Rows tagged report only are counted but not moved. A row MailerLite does not expose on your plan is marked Unavailable on your MailerLite plan; nothing is skipped silently. Click Next.
Selection: choose what to move
Switch each section on or off:
- Contacts: all active subscribers become your clients; unsubscribed contacts are skipped. Keep Import MailerLite groups as customer tags ticked to carry the groups over.
- Segments as tags: each segment becomes a client tag named "[segment] …" with its current members. It is a snapshot and does not update itself.
- Sent campaigns: choose All (N), Last with a number, or Pick from the list; then As sent history: real send date, recipients, opens and clicks or As drafts to reuse. Index campaign content for the AI assistant lets the Assistant search the content.
Run
The last step summarizes what will happen, for example "Import 24 contacts from MailerLite with their groups as tags". Click Start migration. You see "Migration started. Follow the progress in Tasks (the bell icon)." and the window closes. You can keep working.
Follow the progress in Tasks
Click the bell at the top and open the Tasks tab. The row Migration from your mailing system shows the current step and a counter, for example "Contacts: 10 / 24 contacts". When it finishes, the result reads, for example, "24 new customers (0 already existed)" and, with campaigns, "N campaigns imported". Open the row's details for the Not migrated list; Open leads to Email campaigns.
What you get
| In MailerLite | In Zanfia |
|---|---|
| Active subscribers | Clients in Customers (/customers) with the status Subscribed. A client already Unsubscribed in Zanfia stays unsubscribed. |
| Unsubscribed, bounced | Not imported. |
| Groups | Client tags with the group names, assigned to their members. |
| Segments | Client tags named "[segment] …", a snapshot of today's members. |
| Sent campaigns | As history: campaigns with the status Sent, the original send date, recipient count, opens and clicks. As drafts: drafts you can edit and send. |
| Automations, forms, templates | Not moved. The final report lists them by name so you can rebuild them. |
Imported campaigns are marked Imported from MailerLite and show the numbers MailerLite reported. Per-recipient details are not transferred.
What to rebuild
| MailerLite item | Rebuild as |
|---|---|
| Automations | Workflows |
| Forms | Signup forms |
| Sender domain | Your own sending domain |
Good to know
Running the migration again is safe: contacts, tags and campaigns are matched by their id in MailerLite, so nothing is duplicated, and the result then reads, for example, "0 new customers (24 already existed)". Run it again to refresh a segment tag. Importing campaigns creates email campaigns, which are available on Growth and above.
