Troubleshooting your first steps

Fixes for the problems new creators meet most often: a login code that does not arrive, a product the AI builder will not create, blocked publishing, test purchases, and the end of the trial.

This page covers the problems creators run into most often in their first days with Zanfia: signing up, building and publishing the first product, testing a purchase, and the end of the trial.

I did not get the login code

The code goes to the address you typed, in an email with the subject Your Zanfia login code: …. When it does not show up within a minute, it usually sits in spam, the address has a typo, or a new code was requested too soon.

  1. Check spam and the other folders of your mailbox for that subject.
  2. On the Verify your email screen, read the address after Code sent to. If it is wrong, go back and type it again.
  3. Click Resend code. It becomes clickable one minute after the previous code was sent.
  4. If the address is a Google account, go back and click Continue with Google. No code is needed, and both ways of signing in lead to the same account.

A wrong code shows Invalid verification code. Please try again. and lets you retry. More in Create your account and Sign in and recover access.

I only wanted to open a course I bought, and now I have a Zanfia account

app.zanfia.com is the panel for creators who sell their own products. What you bought lives on the seller's own site, so the account you just created there is empty and runs a creator trial you do not need.

  1. Open the email you received after the purchase and use the link in it. It leads to the seller's site.
  2. Log in there with the email address you used when buying. You can ask for a 6-digit login code, which is sent to that address.
  3. Your purchases are under My Products.

If you cannot find the seller's address, ask the seller. The creator account you opened by accident costs nothing: no card was taken, and its trial ends by itself.

The AI builder does not create my product

The builder on the welcome screen (/welcome) and at /products/new needs one or two full sentences. With a few words it answers Add a little more - describe in 1–2 sentences what you want to sell or teach. and waits. With a very long text it shows a warning that the description is too long, with the number of characters and the limit. It also stops when your AI credits run out, and says so.

  1. Write in one or two sentences what you sell, for whom, and in what form (a course, a community, an e-book), then click Create.
  2. If the warning about length appears, shorten the text to the limit shown in the message. Details belong in the product editor, not in the idea.
  3. No idea yet? Pick a card under No idea? Start from a ready-made template:.

The full walkthrough is in Launch your first product.

I want to build my product by hand, without AI

AI is optional. Every place that creates a product also offers the classic two-step wizard.

  1. Open Products (/products), click Create product and choose Create (classic). The wizard opens at /products/new?wizard=1.
  2. On the welcome screen, the same wizard is behind Prefer the classic way? Create a product →.
  3. Pick the product type and fill in Step 1 of 2: Basics and Step 2 of 2: Structure & price. Switch off Generate a draft offer and sample content with AI, or click Skip this step and start from a blank template →, to get an empty product.

I cannot publish my product

Two things block publishing, and the Publish [name]? window names the one that applies.

  • Paid checkouts need a connected payment gateway before they can go live. Click Connect in the window, or open Integrations → Payments (/integrations/payments) and connect Stripe, Przelewy24 or another gateway. A free checkout never needs one. See Take your first sale.
  • Published product limit reached. Your plan includes a number of published products and all of them are taken. Unpublish another product or click Upgrade plan. See Product limits.

My test card is declined, or the test asks for real money

Zanfia connects to your payment gateway in live mode. Test card numbers are declined on a real checkout, and a payment on a published checkout is a real charge. To rehearse a purchase without money, use the built-in test purchase.

  1. Open the checkout in the checkout editor (/checkouts/<checkoutId>).
  2. Click Test purchase in the header. If the checkout was never saved, you see Save the checkout first to run a test purchase.
  3. Fill in the test checkout the way a customer would. No money moves and no card is charged, but the rest runs for real: the access email goes out, the client record is created, and the order appears marked [TEST].

I cannot find my test order in Transactions

Transactions (/orders) hides test purchases by default and opens on the current month.

  1. Open Transactions in the sidebar.
  2. Untick Hide test orders.
  3. Look for the order marked [TEST]. The test client is in Customers (/customers) as well.

My trial ended and the app is locked. Is my work gone?

No. When the trial ends, every page shows Your trial has ended, but nothing is deleted: products, clients and content wait for you. No card was taken during the trial, so nothing is charged unless you pick a plan.

  1. Click Choose a plan, pick a plan and pay on the Stripe page. The app unlocks by itself, without logging in again.
  2. Not ready to decide? Click Need more time?, write what you would like to finish in the Request a trial extension window, and click Send request. The answer comes by email, usually within one business day. One request can be sent per trial.

Details are in Your free trial.

My customers see "Purchases are paused"

The message Purchases are paused ("This store isn't accepting new orders right now. Nothing was charged.") appears on your checkouts when your own Zanfia trial or plan has ended. It has nothing to do with the product, the checkout or the payment gateway, so editing them does not remove it.

  1. Open Settings → Billing (/settings/billing). If the app is locked, use Choose a plan on the lock screen instead.
  2. Pick a plan and pay on the Stripe page.
  3. With an active plan your checkouts take orders again. Clients who already have access keep it the whole time.
