Launch your first product

Build a product from a one-sentence idea with the AI Magic Box or with the classic two-step wizard, publish it, and copy the checkout link to share.

At the end of this page you have a published product with a live checkout link you can send to anyone. There are two ways to get there: describe the product in a sentence and let the AI build it (the Magic Box, the default), or fill in the classic two-step wizard yourself. Both end in the same product editor and the same publish button.

1

Open the product builder

Right after sign-up the builder is already open as the welcome screen (/welcome, titled Your first product). Later, open Products (/products) in the sidebar and click Create product; its menu offers Generate with AI (the Magic Box at /products/new) and Create (classic) (the wizard at /products/new?wizard=1). Each product type list (for example Courses, /courses) has the same button and opens the builder with that type preselected.

2

Option A: describe your idea for the Magic Box

Under the greeting Hi! Let's build your first product. type one or two sentences in Describe your product idea… and click Create. Two or three words are not enough; the builder answers Add a little more - describe in 1–2 sentences what you want to sell or teach. and waits. No idea yet? Pick a card under No idea? Start from a ready-made template: or click Show me other ideas for a new set. You can also start from your website with Have a website? Start from it - I'll suggest products →, paste the address and click Analyze.

3

Watch the build and land in the editor

A short animation runs through Analyzing your idea…, Designing your product…, Almost there… and ends with Ready! Meet your new product, revealing the product's cover and name. You then land inside the product's editor, not on the dashboard. The status tag in the header reads Draft, the content tab (named after the type, for example Course) already holds a drafted structure, and a callout says Your checkout is ready. Publish it to get your shareable link. with a Publish & get your link button.

4

Option B: use the classic wizard

From Products choose Create product → Create (classic), or click Prefer the classic way? Create a product → at the bottom of the welcome screen. Pick a product type. Every type except a custom product is a single screen: fill Name and the optional What is it about? (optional) box, which helps the AI draft your offer copy, set Base price to Free or Paid with One-time, Monthly subscription or Annual subscription, leave Generate a draft offer and sample content with AI on if you want a starting draft, and click Create and open the editor →. A custom product splits the same fields into two steps: Step 1 of 2: Basics, then Choose structure & price → opens Step 2 of 2: Structure & price, where you also choose the engine under Which engine should it run on?. The link Skip this step and start from a blank template → creates an empty product of that type instead.

5

Look around the editor before publishing

Tabs across the top: the content tab, Add-ons & Plans, Checkouts, Access, and Settings at the right edge. Open Checkouts: one draft checkout already exists with the price you chose (a Free tag for a free product). You can edit the name, cover and content now or after publishing; nothing is visible to customers until you publish.

6

Publish

Click Publish & get your link in the callout, or Publish in the header. From the callout, a product whose default checkout is free goes live immediately. In every other case, including the header button, the Publish [name]? window opens so you can pick which checkouts open for purchase; for a paid checkout, if you have no payment gateway yet, it shows Paid checkouts need a connected payment gateway before they can go live. with a Connect button (see Take your first sale). After publishing the status tag changes to Published and a window titled [name] is live 🎉 shows your full customer link with Copy link and Open buttons.

7

Copy the link whenever you need it

Later, the product header's Share & preview menu offers Copy checkout link; it is the same address as in the "is live" window. Paste it into a private browser window to see exactly what a customer sees: your checkout page on your own site address with the product name and its price.

Good to know

You are never asked for a card, Stripe or any payment setup to publish a free product. A paid product needs a connected payment gateway before its paid checkout can go live; connecting one takes a few minutes and is described in the next article.

What happens next

  • Draft, then Published. A product stays Draft and invisible to customers until you publish. Unpublishing later hides it again without deleting anything.
  • The checkout is a separate screen. Everything about the order page (prices, fields, thank-you page) lives in Checkouts (/checkouts); open your checkout there to change it.
  • Published product limit. Each plan includes a number of published products. When it is reached, the publish window says Published product limit reached and offers Upgrade plan; unpublishing another product frees the spot.
  • AI credits. The Magic Box uses your plan's AI credits. If they run out the builder says so and points you to a top-up.
