Send your newsletter from Zanfia
Newsletter products can now send their issues straight from Zanfia, on every plan. Write an issue in the archive editor, see how many subscribers it reaches, send now or schedule it, and follow delivery, opens and clicks. Issues go to everyone with access to the newsletter, do not count against your monthly e-mail allowance, and never show up among your campaigns.
Until now a Newsletter product held the archive of issues, and the sending itself happened in a connected mailing tool. From today a newsletter can send its issues straight from Zanfia, on every plan, including Starter. A newsletter issue is part of the product your subscribers paid for or signed up to, so it is not a marketing campaign: it does not count against your monthly e-mail allowance, it is not listed among your campaigns, and it goes out even to subscribers who unsubscribed from marketing e-mails.
✍️ Write and send
- New Send to subscribers from the archive editor. Open an issue and press Send to subscribers. A dialog shows how many people it reaches, and you send now or schedule it from five minutes to thirty days ahead. Sending also publishes the issue in the archive, with the archive's default visibility.
- New Cancel, stop, resend. A scheduled issue shows the time and a Cancel send action. A running send can be stopped; people who already received it keep it. A failed or cancelled send can be sent again.
- New Delivery at a glance. A sent issue shows Sent to N; click it for the delivery numbers: recipients, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, unsubscribed. Issues that were sent carry a mark in the archive outline, the issue list and the Content tab.
- Improved Imported issues first become editable. An issue imported as a snapshot from your old tool is sent only after you convert it to an editable issue; the button tells you so.
⚙️ Delivery settings
- New From Zanfia or from your own tool. Newsletter settings gain a Delivery section with two choices: send from Zanfia, or keep sending from your own mailing tool as before. New newsletters start on Zanfia. A newsletter that already pushes subscribers to a connected mailing tool keeps doing that and hides the send button until you switch, so nothing is sent twice by accident.
- New Your sender name and reply-to. The same section sets the name subscribers see as the sender and the address their replies go to. Without them the workspace name and contact e-mail are used. Issues go out from your verified sending domain when you have one, otherwise from the Zanfia sender.
📬 The e-mail your subscribers get
- New Everyone with access. An issue reaches every customer with active access to the newsletter, bought directly, in a bundle, or free, regardless of their marketing e-mail subscription. Mutes set on this newsletter and global suppressions still apply.
- New "Read online" and the newsletter's name. Each issue e-mail opens with a Read online link to the issue on your site and ends with the newsletter's name in the footer.
